The Story of the Jinn Court: A True Horror Story |
A true horror story narrated by its owner as it happened. The story began in (2006).
Zyad says: I was 26 years old at the time. I lived in an apartment with my mother after my father's death. This apartment is in one of the popular neighborhoods in Cairo.
One day, an argument broke out between me and my mother, which forced me to leave the house until the dispute between us calmed down. I went to my friend, who works as a barber, and sat chatting with him. In the meantime, an old man with a white beard and wearing a white robe entered. He was carrying a black bag and started collecting the hair scattered on the floor of the shop and putting it in that bag without talking to us. Then he looked at me directly and said to me in a tone of voice full of awe: "Why did you make your mother upset, Zyad? Don't do that again," and then he left. I was terrified and astonished by this situation, especially since none of us knew this man and we had never seen him before, and all of us in this popular neighborhood know each other.
I asked my barber friend if he knew the man and if he had seen his behavior. He answered me that he did not know him and had never seen him before. In the meantime, I went out of the shop following that man, thinking that my mother might have complained to him about me, although I was sure that my mother did not know him.
When I went out, the old man had not gone far. I saw the end of his robe as it slid into the street next to the shop, and I ran after him. When I entered that street, I didn't find him!! I was terrified at how this old man could have gotten away so quickly!!
Then I went back to my friend again, and when I finished the haircut, I went back home again, wondering if my mother had an answer to this question. On my way back home, I felt that there was a creature walking next to me, and I felt the heat of that creature's body, but I didn't see anything next to me, and terror filled my heart.
When I arrived home, I saw that old man sitting on the stairs of the building, looking at me with suspicious and terrifying looks, to the point that I did not dare to ask him or even greet him. I quickly went up to our apartment and went in looking for my mother. When she saw me, she said, "What's wrong with you, Zyad? Why do you look terrified?"
I said to her, "Mother, did you complain to someone in the neighborhood about me?!"
She said, "Do you think I would do such a thing, my dear son? I have never and will never complain about you to anyone but the Lord of the Worlds, so that He may reform you, my son."
She asked me to go to my room and change my clothes so that she could prepare my dinner. When I entered the room, I felt that someone was watching me from the window of the room, and whenever I looked at the window, I saw strands of hair falling below the window.
I quickly went to the window and opened it cautiously. When I opened it, I saw something terrifying that I had never seen before!! I saw that old man who was sitting at the bottom of the building, his head very long, until it reached the window of my room, and his face was facing me, and he was smiling. At that moment, I fainted from the horror of what I saw..
When I regained consciousness, I saw my mother sitting next to me, talking to my uncle on the phone, asking him to come to us quickly because I had fainted.
When she saw that I had regained consciousness, she said to me, "What happened to you, Zyad? Why did you fall to the ground unconscious?!"
But I couldn't answer her because I had a splitting headache. My mother went to get me some food and asked me to eat because what I had experienced was definitely due to exhaustion.
But I asked her to leave me alone because I wanted to sleep.
While I was sleeping, I saw something that I don't know if it was a dream or reality. I saw the door of my closet opening and four men with scary features, short stature, and bald heads coming out.
One of them came to wake me up from my sleep and sit me on the bed as if I were in a trial.
At that moment, my room turned into something like a courtroom, and I saw myself inside the defendant's cage.
There were three judges talking to me and making some accusations, but I couldn't understand their words because they were speaking a strange language, but I could understand the intention of their speech and the tone of their voices.
One of those men was standing in front of me, but I couldn't see him, and he was defending me fiercely.
Every few seconds, he would signal to me with his hand to calm down and not be afraid, and I understood from him that these accusations against me were false.
At the end of the trial, one of the judges approached me with a white piece of paper tied with a piece of cloth and gave it to me with a smile, and then he left.
Here I woke up from my sleep, terrified, and saw the closet door closing tightly.
I ran scared from my room to my mother, screaming and asking her to protect me from those people who wanted to kill me, and she asked me, "Who wants to kill you, Zyad? Who are these men?!"
But I was crying and screaming loudly because of what I had seen.
I didn't calm down until I heard the Fajr call to prayer. I quickly went to perform Wudu and prayed, and this was the first time I had prayed in several years.
When I finished praying, I told my mother everything I had seen, starting from the old man entering the barbershop and ending with the dream that scared me.
My mother asked me to maintain the prayers and the morning and evening Athkar.
Thank God, since that day, I have not missed a single prayer, and that situation was the reason for my return to God once again.
